Zero-Divisor Graph with Respect to an Ideal*

Let R be a commutative ring with nonzero identity and let I be an ideal of R. The zero-divisor graph of R with respect to I, denoted by ΓI(R), is the graph whose vertices are the set {x ∈ R \ I| xy ∈ I for some y ∈ R \ I} with distinct vertices x and y adjacent if and only if xy ∈ I. In the case I = 0, Γ0(R), denoted by Γ(R), is the zero-divisor graph which has well known results in the literat...

Paracompactness and an Example Due To

At the summer meeting (1955) of the American Mathematical Society, Mary E. Rudin presented an example of a separable normal nonparacompact space. It is the purpose of this note to point out that an example [3] due to F. B. Jones (1937) with an obvious definition of open sets is also such an example. Jones' paper was published before the notion of paracompactness appeared in the literature. The ...

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Small submodules with respect to an arbitrary submodule

Let $R$ be an arbitrary ring and $T$ be a submodule of an $R$-module $M$. A submodule $N$ of $M$ is called $T$-small in $M$ provided for each submodule $X$ of $M$, $Tsubseteq X+N$ implies that $Tsubseteq X$. We study this mentioned notion which is a generalization of the small submodules and we obtain some related results.

Local Fuzzy Compactness with Respect to Fuzzy Ideal

Given a nonempty set X, a fuzzy ideal I on X is a collection of subsets of X closed under finite union and subset operations. In this paper we define a space to be locally I fuzzy compact space if every point in the space has an I fuzzy compact neighbourhood. Basic results concerning locally I fuzzy compact spaces are given relating to subspaces, preservation of functions, and products. Classic...
